The value for money was great, with a spacious room and card-operated lockers. The location was perfect, close to bus and underground stations, and the staff treated me well.
The breakfast could have had more variety.

Great location with easy access to public transportation and nearby shops and attractions. The common area was spacious and comfortable, making it a good place to hang out and meet fellow travelers. The kitchen facilities were convenient, allowing guests to save money by preparing their own meals.
The WiFi was unreliable and often didn't work properly, which could be frustrating, especially for those who needed to work. The noise from the showers in the room above was audible and could disturb sleep.

The location was fantastic, with easy access to key attractions and the underground. the common room was spacious, providing a comfortable place to relax and work. the staff were friendly and knowledgeable, offering helpful tips about the area.
The rooms were quite small and narrow, making it difficult to move around with multiple people. the cleanliness could be improved, as I noticed some dirt and dust on the sheets.

Basically good staff, usually quiet, clean bathrooms. It is very close to the Russel Square tube station, and you can reach the British Museum by foot in a few minutes.
Pretty narrow rooms and beds, but liveable after all; pretty fair for a low-price hostel.

The check-in process at Smart Russell Square was quick and efficient, great to settle in smoothly. The hostel was clean and well-maintained throughout, from the crisp sheets to the kitchen and fridges. The lounge provided a bright and cute space to relax and socialize with other guests. The bed was surprisingly comfortable, and the spacious and sturdy metal bunk beds offered more room between them compared to other hostels. The bedroom was quiet, thanks to the individual curtains on each bed, which also helped block out sunlight in the morning for a better sleep. The hostel's central location near attractions like Russell Square Park, mini markets, and the British Museum was a major plus. there were plenty of nearby bus stops and the Russell Square Underground Station for easy transportation.

I stayed at this hostel before and I thought I wouldnt stay again, however I thought it was an excellent value for money and I ended up staying for 4 nights. The stay was fantastic and there were lots of multi- culteral people staying which made me feel at home. The reception staff were fantatsic and I will be returning to london soon. (October 2011) Thanks to russel square hostel for making my stay an enjoyable one.
The only thing I can say bad about this hostel is the availability of chairs for people to sit on especcially at night time.

Very clean hostel in compare to rest of uk hostels. Very near to main locations in London (Piccadilly, Oxford street, Soho etc...), price
Showers are very far away from rooms. Several showers had only hot (to hot) water, so it is impossible to use them. Several showers were not working at all. All in all, the showers are the worst par of hostel, everything else is ok

Breakfast. Cheap. Location, near tube station & Tesco Express.
- Pretty big place, a bit confusing to find way to shower. - Too many school kids, a little bit difficult to meet people with around same age as me (30) - Built-in bed, ive got the 2nd bed from the bottom, so, it's a bit difficult to climb up to my bed.

The room I was in seemed to have thicker - maybe new pillows since the last stay.
I booked for two nights but when I arrived the receiptionist said I would have to book out the next morning and book back in because I could not have the same room for two nights.
